Jess & Ben | At-Home Newborn Session | Maine

There isn’t a bigger adventure in life than having children. When Jess reached out to schedule an at-home newborn session I was thrilled. I have been photographing milestones for this sweet couple for five years! It’s always such a special privilege to photograph a couple over and over. I have had so many favorite sessions with these two including most recently- their winter maternity session we photographed at Pineland Farms, in New Gloucester Maine. Of all the moments I’ve captured for them this one was extra special. Babies grow far too quickly, and I know they will treasure these memories for a lifetime.

The nursery was decorated with a simple sweetness. Making it perfect for creating meaningful and timeless portraits of this brand new family of three. The soft colors, heirloom blankets, and cozy bunnies added delicate details to all of their images. It is clear how much this sweet little girl is adored by her parents. The gentle kisses, soft smiles, and loving glances made their at-home newborn session a breeze. It also helped that Maggie is naturally one of the happiest babies I’ve ever met.

Anytime I am photographing newborns I recommend selecting a time based on your little one’s schedule. Newborns can require a bit more patience, so I plan on the sessions being slightly longer than most. This allows parents to be more relaxed because no one is watching the clock if we need to stop for an extra feeding, or outfit change. At-home sessions are focused on your family’s needs.

This wonderful child is going to have a lifetime of adventures with the most loving family. Here are just a few of my favorites from our at-home newborn session. That tiny baby view in front of my camera is one I will never tire of.
