This beautiful fall wedding day took place at Garden Gate at Haley Farm, in Maine. A venue that I’ve had the pleasure of photographing before. Let me tell you it is always a treat! The sun came through the fall-colored leaves and we were able to capture beautiful portraits! Between the chickens, fences, stunning farmhouse, old stone walls, rustic barn, and open fields, I was in photographer heaven!
I absolutely loved being a part of Tarja and James’s wedding day! Their wedding day was simple, classy, and filled with so much joy! Tarja and James spent a lot of time planning and replanning this day. I have to say it was so worth the wait. All the little details came together flawlessly.
One of my favorite parts of the day was the first look. I loved capturing their reactions. But mostly I loved all the extra time Tarja and James had to spend with each other. Tarja was able to reveal a special memorial she had set up for James’s mom who is forever watching over their marriage from heaven. These unique moments are always some of the most treasured.
After exchanging personal vows, this lovely couple was able to enjoy cocktail hour with all their family and friends. Can I just say I think all brides should have a twirling party with their bridesmaids? I also believe you should always sneak away for sunset photos. They are some of my favorite images from the entire day.
Tarja and James spent the evening dancing and laughing surrounded with so much love. So many of their guests spent hours on the dance floor. It was a joyful celebration of a wonderful couple! What an honor it was to be the one capturing this amazing fall wedding day. Tarja and James your contagious joy is what I love the most about you both! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this special season of your life!
